Carole Hall is AQ Dance’s Guest Classical Ballet Instructor – October 2012.
Ms Carole commenced her training in Nairobi – Kenya, before successfully auditioning for the Royal Ballet School at the age of 10. She became one of the inaugural students at White Lodge where she trained for the next 5 years. She continued her training at the Senior School for the next 3 years during which she performed at Covent Garden in Student Performances as well as regular performances with both the Royal Ballet Co. and the Opera Co.
She successfully auditioned for both London Festival Ballet Co and Sadler’s Wells when she decided to accept the contract for the latter where she remained for three years touring throughout the British Isles and the Continent. During this time, she met and married an Australian- George Dunstan and subsequently emigrated to Australia where she commenced her studies in the Cecchetti Method. In doing so, she attained her Fellowship and the Enrico Cecchetti Diploma.
Ms Carole was appointed an Examiner in 1986 ,and has since been appointed a Fellowship/ Enrico Cecchetti Diploma Examiner. She has examined throughout Australia, Korea, Malaysia Taiwan and New Zealand. She has also conducted workshops in England, Canada, Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia.
She has represented Australia at all the meetings of Cecchetti International and on completing her first term of 6 years in the position of Chairman of the Cecchetti Ballet Australia, she was re-elected in January 2008 for a further 3-Year term and was again re-elected for another 3-Year term in January 2011.
Ms Carole was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours. This was for services to the Performing Arts and the Community. She runs her own school in the Adelaide Hills – Australia which opened in January 1973 and is still a very active school some 40 years on.
