AQ SOLO WORKSHOP & COMPETITION
- Learn a solo dance and film it for the International Youth Dance Online Competition
- Build confidence and resilience through performing a solo
- Learn a new ballet variation, the history and the choreographer’s intent of the solo(s)
- Enter the filmed solo(s) for the IYDC Online Competition and get adjudicators’ feedback on the dance item(s)
- Build up your dance portfolio with a filmed video of your solo(s). Certificate of participation and medal awards based on achievement levels are awarded through the IYDC Competition.
Levels & Schedule
The Workshop will be held over 2 weeks from 14 to 27 June 2021, Mondays to Fridays. Filming of Solo(s) will take place on Sunday, 27 June 2021. The levels for the workshop are as follows:
- Level 1
Age: 7 to 9 years old
- Level 2
Age: 10 to 12 years old
- Filming of Solo(s) will take place on Sunday 27 June, Afternoon

Workshop Fees
Students can choose to do one (1) solo genre or two (2) solo genres at their respective levels. Class sizes are small for conducive coaching.
Prices are inclusive of:
- 11 lessons per solo genre
- Costume
- 1 Professional Filming & Photography Session (digital format)
- Competition entry fees
Fee for one (1) solo genre sign up is $650
Bundle Fee for two (2) solos genre sign up is $790
