DANCE EDUCATOR
ADLY AZIZI
DIPLOMA IN DANCE (NAFA)
Azizi began his formal dance education at the School of the Arts, Singapore (SOTA), where he received comprehensive training in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance. In 2015, he was awarded a scholarship to the Singapore Ballet Academy, and in 2019, he graduated with a full scholarship from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) with a Diploma in Dance.
His original choreographies, including “muHaram,” “Yang Sesat,” and “Main Sabun,” were showcased in NAFA’s Dancers@Work. Most recently, he collaborated with Sky Kew on “Them.” which premiered in the inaugural series of Sigma’s “Kaleidoscope.” Azizi also completed his national service with the Music and Drama Company (MDC), where he served as both a performer and instructor.
Following a role as a project executive at MADDspace, where he taught and choreographed in studios and MOE schools, Azizi joined The Arts Fission Company as a dance artiste. Under the mentorship of Cultural Medallion recipient Angela Liong, he not only performed full-time but also engaged in community outreach, working with the elderly and children in need.
Currently, Azizi is a freelance performer, choreographer, and dance educator specializing in Contemporary, Lyrical, and Micro-Acrobatics. Since 2021, he has also been a specialized instructor for the Year 3 Theatre Programme at SOTA and is the rehearsal director for NAFA’s Third Space 2024.
