LINDSAY ELLMAN-BROWN

Lindsay Ellman-Brown is AQ Dance’s Guest Educator and teaches for AQ Exam Intensive Workshops annually .
Ms Ellman-Brown is born in Harare – Zimbabwe and started her dancing career there. She danced with the National Ballet of Zimbabwe for several years before moving to London in 1985 to train as a teacher. She attended the College of the Royal Academy of Dance in London from 1985 to 1988 and attained her Diploma and Licentiate in the Teaching of Classical Ballet and taught in the UK for 2 years before returning home to Zimbabwe.
She then started her own RAD ballet school in Harare – Zimbabwe which she ran successfully for several years. During this time , she also started teaching and choreographing for the National Ballet of Zimbabwe and was the producer and ballet mistress for numerous ballet seasons and tours.
In 1999, she successfully trained to become a Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Graded Examiner and now travels regionally and internationally for RAD.
In 2003, she moved to Australia to join the faculty at Ecole Ballet and Dance Theatre – Sydney Australia and was appointed as Head Teacher of the Junior School.
In 2008, she successfully completed her Master Degree in Creative Industries (Dance Teaching) with the Queensland University of Technology – Australia and now teaches in several schools in the Sydney – Australia area. She also conducts multiple workshops for teachers and students.
Ms Ellman-Brown is also currently a Dance Teacher at The McDonald College – Sydney Australia, which is a prestigious school in both the academics and the arts in Australia.
